I've made a decision today, to delete my second blog From Pompey Hill to Wall Street, about the life and times of Leonard Jerome, Winston Churchill's maternal grandfather. The blog format wasn't working well for the concept.
Instead, I will tell his story in Web site form. It'll be easier to describe the various periods of Leonard's life in a Web site, page by page--such as what I've done in my site about Civil War General Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain. And I'll be able to add special-interest pages alongside the basic biography, such as Leonard's interest in thoroughbred horse-racing, and being a co-founder of the American Jockey Club.
When I get the Jerome site going, I'll post the URL. Keep watching this space.
